ABSORBABLE

Chirasorb Plus antibacterial Antibacterial knitted sewing material of copolymer 90% glycolide, 10% L-lactide and chlorhexidine diacetate Purple and natural Designed for use in general surgery, gynecology, skin sewing, muscle layers and ligation. Absorbable, knitted, antibacterial coating, synthetic, with high tensile strength, reduced capillary effect, moderate durability. Absorption after 14 days 25%, after 20 days 50%, after 30 days 85%, after 56-70 days 100%
Monolac monofil Monofilament from
Glycolide and
ε-Caprolactone
violet and natural Designed for use in general soft tissue approximation, urology, gynecology, plastic and gastrointestinal surgery. Monofilament with high tensile strength and excellent handling properties. Monolac violet retains 7 days after implantation ca. 60% (natural ca. 50%) and after 14 days ca. 30% (natural ca. 20%) of its original tensile strength. Absorption is completed between 90 - 120 days.
Chirlac rapid braided  Braided suture from Polyglycolic acid - coated violet and natural Closure of skin, particularly in paediatric surgery, gynaecology (e.g. episiotomies), ophthalmic surgery (e.g. conjunctiva suturing) and for circumcision of oral mucosa. The thread is coated with an absorbable substance. This reduce the capillary effect. High tensile strength. 5 days after implantation approximately 60 % of its original tensile strength remains. All of the original tensile strength is lost by appr. 12 to 14 days post impl. Completely materialabsorption 30–40 days.
Chirlac braided Braided suture from Polyglycolic acid - coated violet and natural For use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, for the adaptation of muscles and fasciae, for suturing of parenchymal organs, peripheral nerves, for ligatures of small vessels and for intradermal suturing. The thread with high tensile strength is coated with an absorbable substance. This reduces the capillary effect. 14 days after implantation appr. 75 % of its original tensile strength remains. 21 days after implantation appr. 50 % of its original tensile strength remains. Absorption is completed after 80-90 days.
Polydox Monofilament from Poly (p-dioxanone) violet For use in general soft tissue approximation. These sutures are particularly useful where the combination of an absorbable and extended wound support is desirable. Monofilament with excellent knotting properties and high tensile strength. 6 weeks post implantation the thread remains ca. 50 % of its original tensile strength. After 180-210 days it is completely absorbed.

Chiraflon Monofilament from PVDF (=Teflon) blue In all surgical branches, cardiovascular surgery, orthopedics, traumatology (tendons), plastic and ophtalmologic surgery (optimal temporary easily removable suture). Physiological inert. Very smooth, best knotting properties. Easy to handle. No capillary effect.
Chiralen Monofilament from Polypropylene blue, black In all surgical branches, especially cardiovascular surgery, orthopedics, traumatology (tendons), plastic and ophtalmologic surgery (optimal temporary easily removable suture). Smooth, nonporous surface. No capillary effect. Suited for stitches in infected wounds.
Silon monofil Monofilament from Polyamide - 6 blue, black Silon monofil is suitable for plastic and general surgery and whenever the skin is sutured. Depending on the site of implantation and wound condition, the skin suture is normally removed within 30 days. Very smooth, best knotting properties. Easy to handle. Loss of tensile strength after long time implantation.
Tervalon Braided suture from Polyester fiber, coated green Tervalon is applicable whenever non-absorbability and low friction passage through tissues are needed. It is useful in many applications including for cardiovascular use. Tervalon is suitable for permanent continuing suture and for long termed intradermal suture. High tensile strength, well tolerated from the tissue. No capillary effect. Low friction.
Tervalon plus Braided suture from Polyester fiber, coated with PTFE green, white Special designed for cardiovascular surgery. The PTFE coating reduces dead space. High tensile strength, no capillary effect and very low friction.
Silon braided Braided sutures from Polyamide white Silon/ Orsilon braided is suitable for suturing skin, subcutaneous tissue, transversely cut muscles, fascia, peritoneum, the organs of the gastrointestinal tract and blood vessels ligation. High tensile strength, safe knotting properties. Loss of tensile strength after long time implantation.
Orsilon braided
Silk braided Braided silk suture blue, black Silk braided is suitable for suturing skin, subcutaneous tissue, fascia, peritoneum and the organs of the gastrointestinal tract. Hydrophobe coated with no capillary effect. Loss of tensile strength after long time implantation.
